We are passionate about "Shining the Light" on the stigma that migraine is just a bad headache.  Not only is it  "not just a headache," but it is a neurological disorder with symptoms that can include severe pain, vision changes, difficulty speaking and concentrating, muscle weakness, numbness, and tingling, fatigue, dizziness, ringing in ears, nausea and vomiting, lightheadedness and loss of balance, along with sensitivity to light, sounds, and odor.  This is not a complete list of symptoms and can be different for each person. Migraine is the leading cause of disability in people under 50. More than 40 million Americans live with migraine (over a billion worldwide).

We are dedicated to raise awareness about Migraine and funds for Miles for Migraine to help others living with migraine, providers, and caregivers find hope and healing.  

All funds raised from the Colorado event are donated to Children's Hospital of Colorado Headache Center and University of Colorado Headache Center's Fellowship programs to support training for providers in the field of headache medicine and to support local migraine & headache disease research right in Colorado. Funds are also used to support Miles for Migraine programming. By participating in the event, you are helping to raise awareness of the impact of migraine and supporting the efforts to find better treatments and a cure for this debilitating disease.

Miles for Migraine is a registered 5091(c)(3) Non-Profit organization which provides an abundance of FREE programs and services daily, and  year-round.  Your donation today helps keep their support groups, family programs, education events, Walk/Run/Relax events, Mindfulness Series and more - FREE!  All donations are tax deductible! Even when you select “other amount" and donate the cost of a cup of coffee, know that every dollar counts!
